πͺmK Battle Kitchen (PVP Mode)
Game mechanics of for the initial release of the metaKitchen P2E game.
Introduction
mkBattle Kitchen is a blockchain PVP cooking battle game inspired by our favorite cooking shows. Chefs will leverage their NFT assets and put them on the line against other chefs for culinary glory and delicious rewards.
Think, strategize and create the best combination of in-game assets to defeat your opponent. Earn experience and $CHEF coins while trying to reach the top of the culinary world.
Environment
Set in a kitchen themed animated web environment available to smart phones, tablets, and desktop browsers: Think Pokemon: Battle Revolution meets Iron Chef. Each chef will have an arsenal of NFT on display to intimidate their opponent but it takes two successfully executed courses to win a metaKitchen battle.
Setup
Browse Arenas: Arenas are where chefs of equivalent experience hangout and look for worthy PVP opponents. Each Arena has predefined table stakes. These are the spoils that go to the winner or cost the looser as a result of each battle. Before selecting an Arena chefs can browse Arenas to select a chef worth battling.
Join an Arena: In order to enter an Arena a chef must expose up to three metaChefs that will be available for use in the battle.
Challenge an Opponent: From the list of chefs in the Arena select an opponent and press the 'Challenge Button'. Wait for feedback. If accepted then, game on! If not the challenger must specify a reason for rejection. You can respond and challenge again or move on.
Method of Play
Each mkBattle consists of three courses: Appetizer, Main Dish, and Desert. A chef must win 2 of 3 courses to win the battle. Each course consists of the selection of a Mystery Ingredient that must be used in the Recipe executed for that round.
Each course follows the same basic sequence of play outlined in Single Player mode: A Mystery Ingredient is selected, and then both chefs assemble the best Dish they can. Instead of having to achieve a fixed Dish Score, in PVP mode, the highest Dish Score wins. There is no baseline that must be achieved.
Appetizer Course
Like all Courses the Appetizer follows the method of play from the Single Player mode. The key difference being the selection of the Mystery Ingredient is weighted towards salty tasting foods.
Main Dish Course
Like all Courses the Main Dish follows the method of play from the Single Player mode.
Desert Course
Like all Courses the Desert follows the method of play from the Single Player mode.
To the Winner go the Spoils
At the end of the three courses the winner is declared by the judges. At this time the judges ruling is explained. Along with a commentary from the judges.
Really? Oats instead of rice in Paella Chef 1? Did you go to culinary school with the Three Bears?!
After each round the judges declare to both chefs what has been submitted. At the end of all three rounds a full accounting of the judging of each round is displayed for both chefs and the winnings are transferred to the appropriate account.
